Displayed in Europe for the first time, visitors to the IAA Commercial Vehicle show can see Cummins EPA2010 certified ISX15 engine on stand D19, hall 11.

The ISX15 features the Cummins XPI fuel system, an enhanced cooled-EGR system, a single VGT™ Turbocharger and the new Cummins Aftertreatment System that incorporates Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalyst technology together with the Cummins Particulate Filter. Ratings are available from 400-600 hp (298-447 kW), with torque outputs from 1966-2780 Nm (1450-2050 lb-ft).

Cummins Xtra-High Pressure Injection is the most capable common-rail fuel system ever utilized on a heavy-duty engine. The XPI is able to inject a precise quantity of fuel at extra-high pressure with multiple injection events per cycle. Even for the most demanding vehicle duty cycles, the XPI system enables faster, smoother power delivery with lower fuel consumption.  XPI is complemented by the Cummins VGTTM Variable Geometry Turbocharger which is able to continuously vary airflow boost and manage the exhaust gas recirculation. Electric actuation allows infinite adjustment to provide an exact amount of boost across the rpm range. The unique sliding-nozzle design has fewer moving parts providing high reliability.

The aftertreatment features Cummins proven particulate filter to reduce PM emission down to near zero levels. First introduced in 2007, over 500,000 have been built to date. This is integrated with Cummins SCR system which has been available since 2005 on Euro 4 and 5 products, with over 300,000 in service. The SCR catalyst works with cooled EGR system to reduce NOx emissions to the ultra low legislated limits.
